That said, also important to emphasize that as with the introduction of the Web of Documents, the LD approach has a vast range of applications TODAY, and in many ways the barriers to entry are much lower than ‘way back when.
Not sure this is relevant here, but I’d like to observe that the Layer Cake is too-often flashed on screens and included in reports with no real context or explanation.
At some point in linked data discussions it might be useful to highlight on the diagram which blocks “essential” to implementing basic LD applications, which are useful, and which are added sugar.
